Is God Silent?

Interesting Week! The news is roaring with violence and then cheers out of Egypt.
As a nation, our media will lead us blindly through this massive shift of oppressive religious power and we will be led to believe that freedom has been peacefully won for a nation who was under the rule of a Mobster-like tyrant...Now the Youth have spoken ... Utopia is around the corner. BUT you watch as more pain and oppression ever imagined creeps in like a lion stealthily hunts out its prey.
This world is so so so noisy with opinions, complaints, dissatisfaction, inequity, pain, and scandal. It reeks with the putrefying sound of oppression and molestation.

Where is God in all this ...why is He silent?
There are songs that touch the heart about the sorrowful blessing of the Silence of God ...but this Question "Why is He silent?" leads me to believe something...and it is not just the same old, same old rhetoric: We don't listen or we don't want to hear. Here is some of the Biblical points that would lead us to believe God was silent ... There were times in OT history, there was no prophet, DOES GOD NEED A PROPHET TO SPEAK? Historians have told us there were hundreds and maybe thousands of years where God was silent (of course none of these men were there to know). NOW stop the arguing for a moment and medite on the next three scriptures:

Isaiah 65:6 Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,

What is Isaiah saying about our God ..".into their bosom?"

Psalm 28:1 Unto thee will I cry , O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

The Psalmist was living because of the voice of God...

Psalm 19:3 - There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

The Stars talk all the time ...Who gives them their voice and who even stops to listen.

Here were a many of Times when God did not speak, but His voice, with out words, was ever so loud!

Jesus ... was silent ...wrote in the dust ...SIN BECAME OBVIOUS AND DELIVERANCE WAS NEAR.
Jesus ... was silent ... before Pilate... TRUTH WAS MANIFESTED AND ALREADY REVEALED.
Jesus ... was silent ... as He was beaten ... as a sheep before her shearers is dumb...THE PAYMENT FOR OUR SIN WAS IN PROGRESS.

I'm not so sure He has ever been silent..."In the beginning was the Word"

Let Him Love you!
